What being an approved vendor means

Spelling Stream is published by Monthly Balance Capital LLC, an approved vendor for the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program. The program runs its marketplace on Odyssey: you buy our listing there with your student’s scholarship funds, and the funds come to us once we accept your order. You never pay out of pocket.

Utah’s scholarship law names educational software and applications as an eligible expense (Utah Code 53F-6-401).

What it does not mean. Approval makes us a vendor your scholarship can pay. It is not a review of the curriculum: neither Utah Fits All nor Odyssey has endorsed, reviewed or recommended the app itself, and we do not claim either has. Choosing a vendor is your decision as the parent or legal guardian.

What your scholarship buys

A 12-month license for Spelling Stream Pro for your student. Spelling Stream turns the spelling list your child already brings home into practice, tests and games, read aloud in a voice you choose.

Their actual school list

Type the words, dictate them, or photograph the list the teacher sent home. Your child practices the words they will be tested on.

Read in your own voice

Record each word yourself, free and unlimited on every plan. Pro adds Enhanced Voice for the words you did not get to, with homophones used in a sentence.

Practice that adapts

Focus Words puts the words your child keeps missing first, and Letter Distractors draws wrong letters from spellings children really write.

Up to 100 lists

Fifty words each, so a full term of school lists lives in the app at once, with your student’s progress kept alongside.

iPhone, iPad and Android

Your student’s lists and progress follow them between devices. A child’s tablet with no account of its own joins with an activation code.

No ads, works offline

No advertising of any kind, no social features, and the whole app works with no connection once a list is in.

What it costs

US$19.99 for 12 months of Pro, starting the day you activate it. We sell it all year, with no cutoff: a year is a year, summer included, so it suits families who keep going past the school year.

No processing fee is added. Your scholarship wallet is debited only after we accept your order, and there is no invoice to upload and no claim to file.

It is a single charge, not an auto-renewing subscription. When the year is up, place a new order.

Scholarship funds are awarded per student, so place one order for each student.

How long it takes

We accept your order and email your activation link to the address on your Odyssey account, usually within 2 business days. Odyssey asks its vendors to contact a family within 48 business hours of an order.

How to order

  1. Log in to your Utah Fits All account on Odyssey and open the Marketplace.
  2. Search for “Spelling Stream” and order the license with your student’s scholarship funds.
  3. We accept your order. Your digital wallet is debited only then, not when you place it.
  4. We email your activation link to the address on your Odyssey account, usually within 2 business days. Open it on the device your child uses. Pro stays on for 12 months.
No invoice, and nothing to upload. A marketplace order is paid inside the marketplace, so there is nothing for you to file. We do not send an invoice for it either: Odyssey does not allow vendors to share invoices or transaction documents with families.
Orders cannot be cancelled. Odyssey has a no-cancellation policy for marketplace orders, so make sure this is the license you want before you order it.
Paying by card instead. You can pay by card and have Pro tonight, then claim the cost back from Utah Fits All with the itemized receipt we email you as proof of payment. The program decides whether to approve it, so check before you choose this route: a declined claim is not grounds for a refund. Pay by card.
