What being approved for direct pay means

Spelling Stream is published by Monthly Balance Capital LLC, which is approved to receive Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account funds directly through ClassWallet. You upload a quote as a payment request, the ESA reviews it, and the funds come to us. You never pay out of pocket and there is nothing to claim back afterward.

What it does not mean. Approval covers payment, not curriculum. The Arizona Department of Education has not endorsed, reviewed or recommended the app itself, and we do not claim it has. Whether Spelling Stream is an appropriate use of your award is your decision as the account holder.

A one-year license for Spelling Stream Pro, covering every child profile on your family’s devices. Spelling Stream turns the spelling list your child already brings home into practice, tests and games, read aloud in a voice you choose.

Their actual school list

Type the words, dictate them, or photograph the list the teacher sent home. Your child practises the words they will be tested on.

Read in your own voice

Record each word yourself, free and unlimited on every plan. Pro adds Enhanced Voice for the words you did not get to, with homophones used in a sentence.

Focus Words puts the words your child keeps missing first, and Letter Distractors draws wrong letters from spellings children really write.

Fifty words each, so a full term of school lists lives in the app at once, with a separate profile and progress record per child.

What it costs

US$19.99 for one year, plus ClassWallet’s 2% processing fee on invoices submitted through its Vendor Pay platform. Your quote shows the exact total to submit, so the amount the ESA approves matches the amount invoiced.

It is a single charge for a one-year licence, not an auto-renewing subscription. Nothing bills again when the year ends, so there is no renewal to explain to your program later.

Scholarship funds are awarded per child, so place one order for each student receiving them. Each order produces its own quote and its own itemized invoice naming that student.

The review step runs on the Arizona Department of Education’s timetable rather than ours. ADE asks that you follow up with them if an order has not been approved after 14 days.

How to order

  1. Open your quote and enter your student’s full name. It prints on the quote and on the invoice that follows.
  2. Upload the quote to ClassWallet as a payment request, following the process in your ESA account.
  3. The ESA reviews and releases the funds to us. You get an approval email from ClassWallet when it clears.
  4. We email your activation link. Open it on the device your child uses, or type the eight-digit code into the app. Pro switches on for a full year.

Get your quote

Your quote carries what ClassWallet asks for. It shows an invoice number, your student’s name, our vendor name and address, a description of the licence, the service dates, the itemized amount and the total. It is labelled a quote, with payment not yet received, because that is what it is at the point you upload it.

In a hurry? You can pay by card instead and have Pro tonight, then submit the invoice as a reimbursement claim. The ESA decides whether it reimburses a purchase made outside its own vendor network, so check that first — a declined claim is not grounds for a refund. Pay by card instead.
